Why do we need the righteousness of Christ? Aren't I good enough?

June 30, 2014

Why do we need the righteousness of Christ? Aren't I good enough? (Self righteousness vs. His righteousness) by: Chris Dean - Finish Strong Endurance athlete  Parable of the Great Feast (Matt 22:1-14)1 Jesus also told them other parables. He said, 2 “The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son. 3 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. Dealing with Heavy Burdens

June 29, 2014

By Charles Stanley of In Touch MinistriesPsalm 116:1-7Today, let’s look more closely at Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV). The prophet’s wisdom offers timeless practical advice on how to handle burdens.1. “Stand at the crossroads and look.” In a time of turmoil, our minds race ahead to think of all that could happen in the future. What is the Christian Life: Are you living it?

June 27, 2014

by: Chris Dean - Finish Strong Endurance Teammate Col 2:6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. The Christian life is supposed to be a life lived by faith. It is by faith that we enter into the Christian life, and it is by faith that we live it out. When we begin the Christian life by coming to Christ for forgiveness of sin, we understand that what we seek cannot be obtained by any other means...

2014 Assault on Mt. Mitchell Team Recap

May 23, 2014

Johnny Mitchell - Finish Strong Elite teammate Category 1 Racer Lives: Florence, SC   On Monday, May 19 the Finish Strong Elite Cycling Team competed in the 39th annual Assault on Mt. Mitchell. This ride is known throughout the country as one of the toughest bike rides you can do. I say ride, but everyone knows it's a race. The Finish Strong Elite team was represented by myself, Andrew Crater, Parker Kyzer, and Debbie Milne. The ride started at 6:30 am. The temperature was a brisk 49 degrees. Much cooler than we have been riding in for the last month. It DID, in fact, start out like a ride. No one wanted to ride fast. We all just stayed...
